The HydroGen series HG 5.0 is able to generate up to 700 mL/min Hydrogen with purity better than 99.999% and pressure up to 16 bar (232 PSI). The HG 5.0 includes a new long life multilayer electrolytic cell with polymeric membrane (PEM) using distilled water.  No acid or alkaline solutions are used. 

The inovative drying system ensures the maximum grade of hydrogen purity, protecting the GC thanks it’s innovative humidity safe guard, completely maintenance-free and allows continuous operation, 24 hours a day. The on-board processor automatically check for internal leaks and constantly controls the operating parameters to guarantee full safety. 


Up to 20 units can be connected in parallel with the cascading mode.


The touch-screen LCD interface provides simple and user-friendly management of all functions on the unit.

Air

Air: ZA HC


The AirGen series ZA-HC is able to remove the total hydrocarbons to less than 0.05 ppm from the external compressed Air. If higher purity is requested, then the ZA-Total will also remove other pollutent like Humidity, CO2, CO, NOx, SO2 and Hydrocarbons. Very small in size, the ZA-HC and ZA-Total can filter up to 30 L/min of compressed Air and can withstand a pressure up to 7 bar (101 PSI). The reduction of hydrocarbons, including methane, and carbon monoxide decrease the background noise level and gives much better baseline stability, considerably increasing detector sensitivity and ensuring precise analytical results. The hydrocarbons and CO are removed with a catalitic oven filled with palladium, the Humidity and CO2 is removed with a dual molecular sieve PSA system, NO is removed with Purafil and other components are removed with with an active charcoal filter.

 

Air

Air: ZA FID Air


The AirGen series ZA FID Air is able to remove the total hydrocarbons to less than 0.05 ppm from the external compressed Air. Very compact, the ZA FID Air can filter up to 15 L/min of compressed Air and can withstand a pressure up to 7 bar (101 PSI). The filtration of the hydrocarbons is performed by using a catalytic oven filled with palladium. The reduction of hydrocarbons, including methane, and carbon monoxide decrease the background noise level and gives much better baseline stability, considerably increasing detector sensitivity and ensuring precise analytical results. High efficiency coalescing pre-filtration and post filtration of particulate size greater than 0.01 microns are used to prevent any kind of particles from entering the analytical device. The ZA FID Air has a very simple and efficient interface. It can also be driven by the HydroGen  series HG 6.0 and HG 5.0 and is ideal to supply Hydrocarbon free Air to FID detectors.
 

H2+Air

H2 + Air FID

This dual gas source is an all-in-one solution, combining an hydrogen grade 5.0 or 6.0 hydrogen generator and a Zero Air module. It is dedicated to GC-FID analytical devices. 

Main unique benefits of this dual generator are first, to avoid analytical background noise, allowing very low detection levels on FID systems and also for Carrier Gas applications, secondly to remove all the logistics and costs associated with gas cylinder. 

Finally, to save space on the lab bench.This dual gas source tower uses the latest multilayer Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) technology for hydrogen, which provides a very high reliability (30 months warranty).The breakthrough design and internal routines improves the gas supply in the laboratory.

The HydroGen series HG 6.0 is able to generate up to 1.3L/min Hydrogen with purity better than 99.9999% and  pressure up to 16 bar (232 PSI). The HG 6.0 includes a new long life multilayer electrolytic cell with polymeric membrane (PEM) using distilled water.  No acid or alkaline solutions are used. The innovative gas drying system (A two-column drying system with automatic regeneration) ensures the maximum grade of hydrogen purity, is completely maintenance-free and allows continuous operation, 24 hours a day. The on-board processor automatically check for internal leaks  and constantly control the operating parameters to guarantee full safety. Up to 20 units can be connected in parallel with the cascading mode.

HP-N2 EVO

 

The High Purity Nitrogen generators (HP-N2 Evo) produce high grade nitrogen for most of the laboratory applications and devices. Designed with safety and convenience in mind, this system generates purified nitrogen, eliminating the need for cumbersome high-pressure gas cylinders.

The HP-N2 EVO removes oxygen from air to less than 10 ppm and HC pollutants to less than 0.1ppm if the optional scrubber is installed. Nitrogen flows available are: 500 Nml/min, 750 Nml/min, 1300 Nml/min and 4000Nml/min. The HP-N2 EVO can be connected at the outlet of a smart low noise scroll compressor from our program, or can be used with an external compressed air source.

LCMS

LCMS applications requires a high and continuous flow of nitrogen at specific purity. Swissgas provides the true first modular solution for LCMS with improved performances and reliability. Each part does a specific job: 


First the air compressor, of scroll technology, provides low noise operation and lower maintenance than typical piston compressors. The variable speed algorithm increase the life time of this first part. 


Secondly, the generator transforms the air into a 99.5% purity nitrogen. 


Finally, a buffer tank will smooth the operation of the whole system by reducing "stop-and-go " sequences. The modularity concept allows also to take only necessary parts when some are already in place for a personalized and flexible nitrogen supply solution.

excellent mass transfer capabilities results in shorter run times and better separation performances.
Beside this hydrogen costs about 75% less then helium of comparable quality.



Principle of operation
Continuous circulated air in the GC oven flows through the thermostabilized sensor head, causing a signal change by hydrogen detection. In this way measured gas concentration will be shown on the front panel numeric and on the indicator band. Exceeding gas concentrations of the set threshold will realize the acoustic signal and optical alarm.

SAFETY HAZARDS

When a hydrogen generator is employed, only a small amount of gas at low pressure is produced in a given period of time and the gas is ported directly to the chromatograph. Typically, the generator has a storage compartment that holds only 50mL of stored gas at a maximum pressure of 4 atm. In contrast, if the contents of a full tank of hydrogen were suddenly vented into the laboratory, up to 9000 L of the gas would be released, creating the possibility of an explosion and/or reducing the breathable oxygen content of the atmosphere, thereby creating an asphyxiation hazard to the laboratory occupants.
